Coroners Service Court Clerk - Warrington£11.69ph – On gong contract Location - WA1 9TEThe courts are located in Warrington at St James Business Centre, Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 6PS and West Annexe, Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 1UH. The post will be a variable hours position. You will work on days when the court is sitting. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated person to act as Clerk to the Court in the Cheshire Coroner’s Court. You will attend court with the Coroner. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the court at inquest hearings. You will ensure that all witnesses are present and that everybody is seated in court on time. In inquests when the Coroner is sitting with a jury you will be responsible for administrative arrangements at court in relation to the jurors. You will also be responsible for operating the court recording equipment at all inquest hearings. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as tact and compassion, as you will be dealing with bereaved families, professional witnesses and members of the public.
