Position Summary At the Toronto Design Centre, our Product Development teams provide solutions to our customers through the design and development of AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. In this role, you will: Develop new or modify and improve existing mechanical designs utilizing 3-D solid modeling software. Develop thermal engineering solutions using calculated and simulation methodologies May lead a work group of one or more technical support staff. Job Duties/Responsibilities Work closely with PCB design, electrical and process engineering to conceptualize and design the entire product electronic packaging for customized or standard AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies. Design of AC/DC and DC/DC mechanical package solutions, including the mechanical enclosure, electro-mechanical components, etc. with applying in-depth knowledge of design constraints and considerable degree of judgment. Generate design documents including detailed parts and assemblies 2-D drawings, mechanical BOM, etc. for prototype and mass production Develop thermal engineering solutions using calculated and simulation methodologies; run thermal simulations of the partial of full design before or after mechanical design Create and.
