We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Powys to assist with the appointment of a Support Worker , on a 1-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Summary: To provide support to people with learning disabilities in their own homes, including emotional, social and physical support. Responsibilities: Treat people with learning disabilities as valued individuals who have worth and dignity, with equal rights to a full place in society and encourage others to do so. Assist people with learning disabilities to develop their personal skills in all areas of their lives and their self-confidence. Assist people with learning disabilities in their self-care and personal presentation. Assist people with learning disabilities with the day to day management of their homes, including support with all domestic tasks and financial management. Support people with learning disabilities to live in a considerate and helpful way with their co-tenants. Qualifications: Commitment to undertaking any qualification relevant to this post as defined in the Powys Social Services Qualification Framework Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
