We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Officer , on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Responsibilities: To provide a customer-focused business support service to service users, internal and external parties and to provide an efficient and effective administrative and clerical service within the team. To develop administrative information systems in response to changing needs and to ensure effective implementation and review. To set up, maintain and update accurate filing and information systems within the team, including files, operational instructions, and other information. To accurately maintain the casework information database, recording all, subject access requests (SARs), police requests (schedule 2 requests) and general enquiries.. To produce statistical information and assist in the analysis of statistical information. Maintaining and developing teams Share Point sites. To access and download data from the Directorates client databases in relation to SARs. Requirements: To provide a full range of administrative support to the Childrens Access to Records team. Working knowledge of Windows & Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel, electronic mail, Power Point and Internet) Knowledge of methods of administration and office systems, including collation, maintenance and monitoring of records and information Experience of general office administration Working with and handling confidential personal information Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
