Knowledge of Environmental Legislation (required) Team Management (required) H&S Managing Safety qualification (required) Waste Management knowledge (desirable)Main Purpose of the role: To assist the Site Manager to ensure the safe, environmentally compliant and efficient operation of the facility within established operational standards. Responsible for managing a team of people in control of the process to achieve the business objectives set by the company and/or the Site Manager. To manage the processing operation of a busy incineration plant, whilst maintaining the highest level of compliance to the company's health and safety, environmental, procedural and statutory goals. To oversee and/or assist the day-to-day maintenance tasks associated with the operation of a busy waste treatment plant, whilst maintaining the highest level of compliance to the company's health and safety, environmental, procedural and statutory goals. To respond to plant breakdowns and to negotiate/liaise with external contractors/suppliers of specialist maintenance support or equipment. Duties/Responsibilities: Line management of plant supervisors and operators to ensure optimal performance in line with the needs of the business, including ensuring training is provided in line with company & site procedures.
