Assistant Finance controller Salary: CHF 6000 - CHF 6500Location: Engelberg – Switzerland Language : German, French and English I am working with a Luxury Hotel Brand who is looking for a Cluster Assistant Finance Controller to join their team asap. You will be located for 80 of the time in Engelberg and assist in the other resort on a seasonal basis. What you will be responsible for : Understanding and having a working knowledge of all areas in accounting and being able to assist or cover a position if needed. Ensuring that local legislation and procedures are followed. Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations during month-end closing. Ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are in good order and up to date. Ensuring that all journal entries are accurate and have been signed off before posting. Preparing or overseeing the preparation of all tax returns. Ensuring that all fees are calculated accurately and comply with the Management Agreements. Assisting the Controller with forecasting and budgeting. Performing any controller tasks during his absence. Hiring, motivating, counseling, coaching, evaluating, scheduling, etc, of the Accounting staff. Assisting department heads with making relevant and accurate decisions on financial matters. Following and understanding all set hotel Policies & Procedures. Behaving in a professional and harmonious manner and following the hotels code of conduct. Continuously looking for improvements and ways to enhance efficiencies. Performing any additional duties assigned by the controller and assisting in all areas of Finance as needed. Communicating with the controller on any discrepancies or other potential problems A must have to qualify: Euro passport or have existing and valid Swiss working rights Speak German, French and English Experience in Luxury hotels or hotel work background Be an empathetic leader and can navigate a great vibrant team of all ages Able to work flexi time when month.
