Your opportunity: The Department of Physiology is one of the largest basic science departments in the Faculty of Medicine and one of the largest physiology departments in North America. It is a highly interdisciplinary department with many local and global partnerships, allowing excellent opportunities for intensive research training and teaching in medicalscience. The research conducted in the Gillis lab aims to understand the flow of information from the genome to whole organism biology through computational modelling and analysis of functional genomics data. As a Research Lab Manager within the Gillis Lab, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lab, including managing personnel, budgets, grants, and equipment. You will also assist the principal investigator with submitting and writing grant applications, as well as editing scientific manuscripts. Your responsibilities will include: Scheduling day-to-day project activities, tracking and monitoring research activities, ensuring that projects adhere to ethical and privacy requirements and fostering positive relationships with project partners Researching, analyzing, and recommending grant opportunities Conducting systematic literature reviews and drafting documents for knowledge translation purposes Writing, formatting, editing, and tracking the status of grant applications Troubleshooting issues with lab equipment and workstations Supervising the activities.
