Where You Belong.AV Tech/HousemanJob DescriptionResponsibilities and Qualifications Essential DutiesThe AV Tech Houseman position provides top quality service in audio visual operations to our clients and tenants. The AV Technician is responsible for assisting guests with all audio visual needs in a timely and efficient manner. Exceptional communication and customer service skills, knowledge of AV equipment, good computer and software skills are a must. The AV Tech should have a working knowledge of all audio-visual fields sound, lights, projection, technological devices, etc.Additional Duties * You may be asked by management to engage in duties that are related to your position even though they are not routine. These include helping assemble temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures; relaying data to outside departments; and assisting audio-visual personnel in setting up equipment like speakers and monitors. In some cases, you may also be tasked with helping transport decorations and equipment to an off-premises event location. All the other stuff we do: * Because of the fluctuating demands of the company's operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed. * Adhere to all of the various company and department written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job. * Demonstrate good teamwork and follow instructions well as directed. * Be able to multi-task and work at an efficient pace to keep up with business needs. * Maintain good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas of the business and assure that others are acting safely. * Attend daily line-up and participate as requested. * Wear a clean and neat uniform that follows Invited and your property uniform standards daily. * Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. * Support AV Department in developing cost savings strategy and making recommendations to immediate supervisor. * Must possess intermediate-advanced computer skills. * Setup, break down equipment, and/or operate equipment per event order, departmental guidelines, or as designated by the client. * Resolve client's complaints in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. * Maintain open communication with the Catering and Banquet Staff. ______________________________________________________________________ * Minimum of two years of experience in an audio-visual function on a regular and continuing basis * A high school diploma preferred. * Ability to communicate and follow instructions. * Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills are a must. * You are comfortable working at a fast pace in both indoor and outdoor environments. * Full Time hours with occasional weekend availability.
