This is a safety-sensitive position, the successful candidate(s) will be required to successfully complete mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing to comply with Sask Power’s Fit for Duty Policy. JOB SUMMARY: The employee in this classification is responsible to perform a variety of office, field and project assignments associated with the construction, modification, maintenance and operation of Sask Power’s facilities, equipment and infrastructure. This position will also be responsible to provide support to professionals, perform quality assurance and quality control functions related to departmental projects and functions. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Inspect, install, remove, troubleshoot and maintain Sask Power facilities, equipment, systems and devices • Work with electric/electronic controls/equipment • Develop and interpret plans, designs, specifications and drawings • Use approved test equipment • Provide first level support for journeypersons and technicians as required by the position • Collect, prepare, analyze and diagnose data and take corrective action, as required • Handle the receipt of assignments and confer with technical staff on aspects regarding charts, data, diagrams, drawings, general arrangements, graphs, layouts, schematics, sketches, etc. • Conduct field surveys, inspections or investigations to provide data for projects • Inspect and test materials, equipment and systems • Arrange for appropriate permits,.
