Lead Support Worker East Ipswich Fixed Term 6 months, Full Time (37.5 hpw), working on a 4 week rolling rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays Pay £11.51 per hour (£22,500 pa (pro rata)) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan Sleep in period is an additional payment at £50.00 per shift. As our Lead Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex mental health needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. Customers may also have a substance misuse issue and/or a mild learning disability. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator) Creating support plans with your customers and working as a team to support customers achieve their goals and aspirations. Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able. Supporting customers to attend appointments, education/ training opportunities, groups and activities, organising in house activities such as a film night/ cooking group or an event. Carrying out risk backssments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here!
